Architectural design award of the Architectural Society of China (Special Award-Public Buildings) sponsored by the Architectural Society of China, undertook by the institute of Chinese architects, ASC and co-organized by NorthGlass, was held at Tiantai Hotle in Beijing on 21st, December.

The Architectural Design Award was established by the Architectural Society of China to encourage the innovative spirit of the vast number of architectural science and technology workers in China, to improve the level of architectural engineering design and construction, to promote scientific and technological progress and prosperity in the field of architecture, and to commend architects, engineers and educators who have made outstanding achievements in architectural practice.

The selection lineup is great and team leader: Xu Quansheng (secretary of the Party Committee and the chairman of Beijing Institute of Architectural Design), Members: Cui Hao (Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering), Meng Jianmin (Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering), Wang Jianguo (Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering), Zhuang Weimin (Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering), Cui Tong (Chief Architect of the Institute of Architectural Design and Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences), Ni Yang (Chief Architect of the Institute of Architectural Design and Research, South China University of Technology), Shao Weiping (Chief Architect of Beijing Institute of Architectural Design), Li Xinggang (Chief Architect of China Architecture Design & Research Group), Zhao Yuanchao (Chief Architect of China Northwest Architecture Design And Research Institute), Guo Jianxiang (Chief Architect of the East China Architecture Design Institute), Qian Fang (Chief Architect of China Southwest Architectural Design and Research Institute), Zhang Lingling (Dean of Architecture and Planning School of Shenyang Jianzhu University), Zhang Ming (Deputy Director of the school of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University), Wu Wei (partner of GMP Architects in China). Li Cundong, Secretary General of Architectural Society of China, attended the meeting and guided the work.

Gao Xueming, chairman of NorthGlass and NorthGlass SiNest, Gao Qi,vice president of NorthGlass, Xiong Cunqiang, vice chairmang of NorthGlass SiNest as guests participated in the meeting. Mr. Gao Xueming introduced the innovation and application of deep processing glasses in recent years, as well as the newly developed wall material - light microcrystalline stone.

This new material has aroused the strong interest of several academicians, design masters and expert members and they had in-depth exchanges and discussions. This meeting is co-organized by NorthGlass, and its specifications are unprecedented. It is worth mentioning that many of the works have NorthGlass figure, including the first prize works.

NorthGlass insist on continuous innovation, and regard the continuous improvement of Chinese building glass quality and innovative technology as their own responsibility, and NorthGlass has got very good results and has been highly praised by the industry.
