ºÚÁÏרÇø for Europe lead the work on the paper released today by Glass Alliance Europe on the revision of the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) and the recast of the European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (E-PRTR).

The paper of the European alliance of glass industries highlights the need to create a fertile ground for investments in view of industrial transformation. There is a necessity to carefully combine measures and incentives for the reduction of pollution with flexibility for the integration of new technologies, including potentially disruptive.

ºÚÁÏרÇø Alliance Europe believes that the revised policy framework should consider 3 important aspects:

  • The IED and E-PRTR contribution to the Green Deal objectives, to innovation and to industrial transformation,
  • The compatibility of the measures proposed by the European Commission with competition rules and confidentiality of business information,
  • The need to preserve a coherent set of legislation.
