Following the announcement by NurnbergMesse Brasil, organizer of the Glass South America fair, to schedule the 2025 edition from September 3 to 6 – close to (16-19 September 2025), the Italian Association of Suppliers of Machinery and Accessories for Glass Processing, , deemed it appropriate to start a discussion with the Organizing Secretariat of Glass South America.

The aim is to share some reflections on the implications that this particular timing could have for operators in the sector, with the aim of identifying solutions that encourage the widest participation and valorisation of both events.

Taking into account the responsibility towards its members and the entire Italian supply chain, GIMAV is unable to promote the next edition of Glass South America in our country and to guarantee the full participation of Italian companies, since attention is necessarily concentrated on the organization and success of VITRUM25. Always an essential point of reference for the glass industry, VITRUM offers, also thanks to the constant contribution of the associated companies GIMAV, a comprehensive look at the trends and development prospects of the sector.

With a view to continuing the commitment in favour of all the actors of this virtuous supply chain, GIMAV hopes that, if not for the 2025 edition, a future scheduling of Glass South America can be placed on more suitable dates, thus favoring the synergic presence of Italian and international companies at both events.
