The second day at Vitrum 2019, the international trade fair for machinery, equipment and systems for glass processing, has come to an end but business has continued behind the closed doors in a relaxed and fun-filled atmosphere at the Kay Rush DJ-set. The artist has performed in the Service Center, under a futuristic glass canopy, to entertain Exhibitors and all other attendees with her soulful deep house music. 

“We are enthusiastic about visitor attendance”, states Dino Zandonella Necca, President of Vitrum. “On the first day of Vitrum, 63.2% of visitors were from overseas, tangible proof of the extraordinary international visibility of Vitrum, the only show exclusively dedicated to glass processing technology”.



A closer look at attendance data shows that 9.47% of international visitors is from Russia, 7.40% comes from Germany, 5.46% from Spain, 4.37% from Poland and 4.13% from France.

On October 2nd, Vitrum has hosted the “What’s Hot in Glass Processing”  in the new Meeting Area in Pavilion 5 (Stand V21-Z30). This year, as in the previous Vitrum edition, the seminar has proved to be a magnet for internationally leading companies and industry organizations, which have presented their most interesting, next-gen technology applications:

•    Adi

•    Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro (Glass Research Center)



In the Artisans Area, bead maker Alessia Fuga has shown the production and decoration techniques for blown glass beads employing the ages-old lampworking tradition of Murano. 



Tomorrow, Thursday October 3rd, in the Artisans Area, Marina Convento, master bead stringer, will lead the public on an eye-opening tour of the history of bead makers and bead stringers and of the age-old and invaluable glass art in Murano. At the Cultural Area visitors will be able to admire the Arte del Vetro (Glass Art) Exhibit, that today has already proved to be a crowd-pleaser.



Among tomorrow’s appointments, two extremely topical events for international business development.

At 10:30 am the “The evolution of International Standards for glass processing machinery”. Paolo Sorcelli, Head of the Gimav Technical Committee, will focus on the hot topic of standards covering production and marketing of machinery in the global marketplace. 



At 2:30 pm the “Corporate compliance, with a focus on complex markets such as the USA. Present and future outlook in preventing liabilities related to the commercialization of industrial products” seminar will take place.



The issue of corporate compliance is critical for businesses that export their products. Some markets, for instance the US, pose regulatory complexities that can hinder or complicate business. Adequate compliance allows businesses to adopt the necessary best practices to safeguard their sales policies in those markets. Speakers at the seminar include: Giuseppe Francesco Bonacci, Head of the Litigation and Corporate Compliance Department of LR Lex Avvocati Associati (legal firm) and Edoardo Tosetto, Senior Associate at LR Lex Avvocati Associati.
