The Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) Board of Directors voted recently to name longtime member and leader Greg McKenna (Kawneer Company) an Honorary Member of the Association.

This distinction is reserved for members who are retired from the industry and have demonstrated exceptional dedication and contributions to FGIA, have held multiple leadership positions and/or have had continuous participation with FGIA for 20 years or more. Nominations are required from at least three FGIA members. McKenna held many leadership positions withing FGIA before retiring from Kawneer on December 31, 2025, after 43 years of service.

鈥淎t Kawneer, Greg led seven different research projects and was granted 16 U.S. patents,鈥 wrote those who nominated McKenna in their submission form. 鈥淗e was instrumental in launching FGIA鈥檚 FenestrationMasters program [a professional education and certification program].鈥

Described by nominators as a 鈥渜uintessential engineer,鈥 they cited McKenna鈥檚 logical approach to problem solving, firm attention to detail and ingenuity as his most notable qualities. McKenna is also the most recent winner of the , the Association鈥檚 highest level of recognition.

McKenna served as First Vice President of the FGIA Architectural Products Group, as well as Chair of the International Building Code Task Group. He was also Co-Chair of three high-level groups within the Association: Code Action Steering Committee, Joint Document Management Committee and Technical Steering Committee.
