ºÚÁÏרÇø melting technology specialist HORN was contracted to work on a greenfield glass facility in Asgabat, Turkmenistan.

The new Furnace #2 is designed with a melting area of 46 m2 for a maximum daily output of 120 tons per day. Under the construction supervision of HORN, the new melting furnace will be built with three forehearths to produce container glass in flint, amber and green colours.

HORN will be responsible for the associated package of design, engineering and equipment as well as the supervision of the construction works. Several additional HORN E-Fusion Power Boosting systems are installed in the bottom of the melting tank to ensure a significant reduction in CO2 emissions during glass melting. The proven HORN HRD-BEAM will measure the glass level contactless with an accuracy of +-0.1 mm.

The new plant will make glass production even more sustainable and further reduce the CO2 footprint. It is set to open in the third quarter of 2025.
