If you haven’t attended before or have limited time, this is your opportunity to get a taste of NGA Glass Conference, with timely presentations, engagement with all four of NGA’s Committees, and opportunities for networking. 

Here's what you can do in just one day:

• Grab breakfast and hear the Technical and Codes Highlights presentation, focused on the latest life safety and energy conservation updates from the model building codes. 
• Get the latest updates from the NGA Fabricating Committee Energy and Laminating technical segments on the processed glass Product Category Rule (PCR), a new AIA Daylighting presentation for architects, and new guidelines for use of glass in guardrails. 
• Hear the NGA Installing Committee’s announcement of the new Frameless Shower Enclosure Design and Installation Manual and plans to update the Fabrication, Erection and Glazing Hours Manual. Current task groups will report on progress updating Masterspec specifications, creating resources to navigate the complications of value engineering and work on the new Thermal Bridging AIA presentation for architects. 
• Enjoy lunch while learning about GSA’s Inflation Reduction Act Low Embodied Carbon Standard and how it affects the glass industry. 
• Join the NGA Forming Committee discussion about flat glass Global Warming Potential (GWP) in the context of legislation in California and Colorado, as well as EPDs for primary and fabricated glass. NGA’s sustainability and recyclability task group will discuss initiatives for recycling architectural glass. 
• Get a recap and next steps from the NGA Advocacy Committee, covering NGA Glass & Glazing Advocacy Days and refining the one-pagers for legislators in preparation for the 2024 event. Task groups will discuss glazing for school security, considering new local ordinances such as Tennessee’s requirement for surface-applied films for forced entry resistance and the federal Luke and Alex School Safety Act (LASSA). NGA’s code consultants will discuss potential code proposal language requiring glazing resistant to forced entry for educational occupancies. 
• End your day with an evening reception at the beautiful Tacoma Glass Museum.
