On Thursday, 20 April, the "Machine Energy Consumption 4.0" project started at the Rimini Technology Centre.

It is a collaboration between the Scm Group and the Universities of Bologna, Milan and Florence. This is an ambitious project, which aims to reduce the energy consumption of industrial machines through the use of digital technologies. Sustainability is one of the most relevant topics for our present and future. In a world where energy consumption is constantly increasing, the need to find new 'smart' solutions to be more environmentally friendly is one of the main objectives of today's companies.

Thanks to the Scm Group's membership of the 鈥MICS, Made in Italy Circular Sustainable鈥 partnership, an opportunity has arisen to collaborate with the Universities of Bologna, Milan and Florence. This project demonstrates how technology can be used not only for economic and production purposes, but also for the protection of the environment and society as a whole, and the Group's commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. Thanks to this collaboration, tools and methodologies will be developed to monitor and reduce the energy consumption of industrial machines, contributing significantly to the creation of a more sustainable future.

"The 'Machine Energy Consumption 4.0' project represents a challenge for all participants, but also a great opportunity for growth and development,' says Andrea Anesi, Innovation Director of Scm Group. 'Thanks to the collaboration between the different entities involved, new skills and knowledge can be acquired and exchanged, but also new work and business opportunities can be created. It will require the active participation of all members involved, from scientific research to industrial production."

The collaboration between the Scm Group and the Universities of Florence, Milan and Bologna represents an important step towards the creation of a sustainable and responsible future. We are confident that the 'Machine Energy Consumption 4.0' project will bring great results and help to spread a new approach to energy use in Italian industries.
