The National Glass Association’s Advocacy and Technical Services Department will be presenting two compelling presentations online at  during the week of Sept. 14. Security Glazing for Schools will be held at 2:30 pm ET on Sept. 16 and The Glass Evidence for a Second Shooter will be held at 2:30 pm ET on Sept. 17.

Security Glazing for Schools will be presented by NGA Advocacy and Technical Director, Urmilla Sowell. Schools are increasingly looking to glass and glazing to better protect students in the event of threats, from fires to intruders or active shooters. Attendees of this session will learn about the range of solutions the glass and glazing industry can provide to keep occupants safe, including test standards and code requirements and hear guidelines for designing safer schools. This session has been accredited by Architectural Record for 1 AIA LU|HSW.

As part of its Thirsty Thursday educational webinar series, NGA has asked glass consultant Chris Barry to present a thought-provoking presentation titled The Glass Evidence for a Second Shooter during GlassBuild Connect. This session will take a forensic approach to the lasting debate associated with the JFK assassination using glass as the material witness. Attendees will learn what glass can tell you if you conserve it properly and examine it appropriately. This session has been accredited by NGA for 0.5 AIA LU|Elective.
