Nippon Sheet Glass Foundation for Materials and Engineering (NSG Foundation) will host its 36th research presentation entitled “New Trends in Materials Research” on January 28.
NSG Foundation offers annual grants in support of inorganic materials research. Selected for presentation this year are the five themes related to basic and applied research of inorganic materials that had received the grants in 2015.
Established in 1979 with the 60th anniversary of Nippon Sheet Glass, Co., Ltd. (NSG Group), NSG Foundation promotes science and technology in the field of inorganic materials now widely in use for electronic equipment and daily necessities.
Supported by NSG Group since its foundation and certified as a Public Interest Incorporated Foundation in 2009, NSG Foundation has given 1.61 billion yen for 1,237 grants involving basic and applied research in glass, ceramic, nano-science and others.
