Urbanization forces people to live close together. Noise pollution causes serious health issue and reduces the concentration of human beings. Since people spend most of their time in buildings, these have to be given extra protection. The highest sound attenuation values are achieved by laminated glass with acoustic PVB interlayer. This session introduce the elements, effects and measurement of sound, and provide the acoustic laminated glass design process with worldwide case studies.
