Eastman Machine Company, an industry-leading manufacturer of cutting machines and solutions, is the newest technology partner to Smart Advanced Manufacturing XL (), a prestigious European research centre.

SAM|XL, is a collaborative research centre at the TU Delft Campus set up as a non-profit foundation with an innovation community. The mission of SAM|XL is to develop, demonstrate, and de-risk smart manufacturing solutions for and with the low-volume high-variation manufacturing sector.

As a technology partner, Eastman will work alongside SAM|XL to develop and test advanced communication protocol for integrating pick & place robots with its automated cutting machinery. The first project set to take place with Eastman’s Static Table in this collaborative environment will be an automated lay-up project with , the leading Dutch aerospace company.
