Interview with Vicente Cervera, president of Cerviglas.

, founded in Turís, Valencia in 1980 has been giving life to glass for more than 40 years. This long history, combined with experience, technological innovation and the ability to anticipate market demands, has positioned this Valencian company as a national market leader in the design and development of cutting-edge projects.

It currently has a team of more than 130 person and a production area of 70.000m2 in which all the processes of design, transformation and glass production are carried out.

Renewal of cutting machinery.

In its commitment to differentiation and quality, CERVIGLAS maintains a policy of constant investment in production technologies. Therefore, in 2019 it began a process of renovation of all glass cutting lines for both monolithic and laminated glass.

The process culminated last February with the installation of the last of the 4 cutting lines acquired. The new machinery is composed of:

 jumbo monolithic glass cutting line. Specially designed to work as part of an automatic cutting line, its linear motor technology guarantees unprecedented performance and quality in any type of cutting.

 cutting table for laminated glass. Semi-automatic table for cutting laminated glass up to mm3700 and thicknesses of 10+10 mm. It incorporates ultra-fast quartz lamp, vacuum devices for the clamping and stretching of the glass from the lower part and blade, thus allowing the processing of Low-E glass with total safety.

Two automatic cutting lines for laminated glass . Both lines are designed for companies that require maximum productivity and automation. They allow to position, rotate, pickle, cut and separate glass up to 12 + 12 mm in a fully automatic way even on high hardness and stiffness butyral glass.

The useful cut of both lines LAM 505SXR and LAM 506SXR is 4700 mm and 6000 mm respectively. 

In short, four cutting machines that integrate the latest innovations and technological developments that will allow CERVIGLAS to meet and respond to the high quality and productivity requirements of its customers.

TUROMAS AND CERVIGLAS

The relationship between CERVIGLAS and TUROMAS has a long history. It began in the 80s with the purchase of one of the first machines manufactured by Miguel Tomás, founder of TUROMAS. Since then, the trust placed by the group in the brand and the TUROMAS team has been complete.

Each and every one of the cutting tables that have passed through the Cerviglas facilities in these 40 years of history have been exclusively TUROMAS brand. In total, about 20 cutting equipment that have accompanied the Valencian manufacturer in its continuous process of evolution.

A growth process in which both companies have gone hand in hand, becoming technological partners that share experiences and knowledge to face new developments and future projects.

Cerviglas offers tailor-made projects for all types of constructions, both large architectural projects and interior spaces, giving priority to quality, safety, aesthetics and comfort.

Among its latest projects are the 9 d’octubre Administrative Complex (Valencia, Spain), the EDEM Business School and Entrepreneurship Building LANZADERA designed by Juan Añón, the new hospital of La Fé (Valencia, Spain) by Ramón Esteve and Alfonso Casares, and the City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia, designed by Santiago Calatrava.
