Nancy Mammaro, CEO of Mappi, was elected Vice President with responsibility for the sector flat glass for GIMAV.

Nancy Mammaro, CEO of Mappi, was elected Vice President with responsibility for the sector flat glass for GIMAV, the Association that brings together the Italian manufacturers and suppliers of machines, accessories, equipment and special products for glass processing.

Flat glass is a sector that last year had a turnover of almost 900 million euros, with an increase of 14,4% compared to the previous year. This is counterbalanced by the sudden increase in energy costs and difficulties in the procurement of raw materials and components. Above all, there is a factor that distinguishes the glass sector in Italy: the size of the companies involved, which generally have a turnover of around 5 million euros.

Precisely in consideration of these facts Nancy Mammaro, regarding this new position, declared: “If you act as individuals it is difficult to respond to market turbulence, it is different if you move in a group. Demonstrating once again that "unity is strength" is the commitment I made by accepting this new role in Gimav, for which I thank here, and again, all the Members. "

“Representing such different companies requires first of all a great work of listening and understanding, the desire to build a better future, trust in relationships, in work, in daily commitment. This is my starting point, I'm sure that by doing so, acting united and compact, we will be able to solve the problems and seize the important opportunities that the markets are starting to offer again with generosity.
