The Facade Tectonics Institute has extended the abstract submission deadline to March 1, 2026, inviting global voices to help shape its most ambitious World Congress yet.

The Facade Tectonics Institute (FTI) announced a one-month extension of the for the , with a new deadline of March 1, 2026. The biennial event will take place September 28 鈥 October 2, 2026, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in partnership with Carnegie Mellon University.

FTI has already received a strong response from researchers, practitioners, and industry leaders worldwide, reflecting diverse perspectives and innovative approaches. With this extension, FTI aims to encourage additional contributions and broaden the global dialogue around fa莽ade performance, resilience, sustainability, materials, systems, and the future of the built environment.

All submissions will undergo FTI鈥檚 rigorous peer-review process, co-chaired by and , supported by an international committee of leading academics and professionals.

In parallel, registration for the 2026 World Congress is now open, with early bird rates available for a limited time. The program will feature technical sessions, keynote presentations, hands-on workshops at Carnegie Mellon University, exclusive facility tours鈥攊ncluding TAKTL and Phipps Conservatory鈥攁nd extensive networking opportunities across academia, design, engineering, and industry.
