The Finishing Trades Institute of Ontario has announced its second annual Glazier Expo, taking place on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at its Toronto training centre located at 130 Toro Road.

Held in partnership with the Architectural Glass and Metal Contractors Association, and the IUPAT, the event will welcome glazing contractors, general contractors, architects, union representatives, government officials, and skilled trades workers for a full day of networking, education, and demonstrations under the theme 鈥淚nnovation, Education, Certification.鈥

鈥淎s the director of the Finishing Trades Institute of Ontario, I am proud to be hosting our second annual Glazier Expo,鈥 Antonella Di Caro comments. 鈥淭his event reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation, education, and certification鈥攌ey pillars in preparing our apprentices to strengthen and advance the skilled trades workforce.鈥

鈥淲e are excited to welcome our member glazing contractors to our second annual Glazier Expo,鈥 said Noel Marsella, AGMCA executive director. 鈥淭here will be several demonstrations during the day, including a pre-glazed curtainwall installation under job site conditions on the newly completed exterior steel structure. Once again, we are thankful to our industry partners at Alumicor and Stouffville Glass for their contribution and commitment to this important upgrade in skills training.鈥

Guests will have the opportunity to:
鈥 Tour FTI鈥檚 newly expanded Toronto facility.
鈥 Learn about cutting-edge glazing training programs.
鈥 Witness live glazing demonstrations, including a showcase of the AGMT (Architectural Glass and Metal Technician) test.
鈥 Explore exhibits from select vendors, each offering industry swag and product insight.

Breakfast will be provided by the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, and lunch will be sponsored by AGMCA.

As the only Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development-authorized training delivery agent for the in-school portion of the glazier apprenticeship program, FTI Ontario continues to lead in advancing training standards for the architectural glass and metal industry. Recent investments in equipment and training capacity at both Toronto, Ancaster, and Ottawa locations reflect a strong commitment to developing the next generation of skilled glaziers.

FTI Ontario looks forward to welcoming industry professionals for a day of collaboration, education, and celebration of the glazing trade.
