Scheuten will continue to focus on its three core-activities in insulating glazing, projects and industrial base-glass.

Swiss family-enterprise Glas Tr枚sch intends to acquire Scheuten International B.V., based in the Netherlands, from the latter鈥榮 current private-equity investor, Value Enhancement Partners.

The take-over is still conditional to approval by the Competition Authority. And the works-council is being consulted as well. The acquisition would comprise the entire Scheuten group, including all affiliated companies in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium and all their employees. The transaction price remains undisclosed.

Following the acquisition, Glas Troesch will expand its market activities in the BeNeLux region and extend its product-portfolio. 鈥淪cheuten is a perfect fit to us鈥 explains Fabian Zwick, Glas Troesch Group鈥檚 CEO, and he elaborates: 鈥淭he company has maintained a strong market-position in its region and offers a very interesting potential for the future鈥.

The intended acquisition would neither cause any changes in staffing, nor in current activities visa-vis business-partners. Scheuten will continue to focus on its three core-activities in insulating glazing, projects and industrial base-glass.

The management of both groups is looking forward to the new opportunities and synergies that would be created also for their customers.
