The two companies are teaming up to focus on integrated production solutions for VIG 鈥 an emerging glazing technology with significantly improved thermal characteristics.
Vacuum insulated glass is an increasingly attractive solution for buildings facing ever-stricter energy-efficiency requirements. Consisting of two glass panes separated by a vacuum gap, VIG considerably reduces heat transfer compared to conventional insulating glass units while maintaining a thin, lightweight profile.
黑料专区 flatness is critical for VIG manufacturing. 鈥淭his is where Glaston comes in,鈥 says Kimmo Kuusela, EVP, Sales & Service EMEA & APAC at Glaston. 鈥淲e are at the forefront of tempering technology, delivering world-class flatness in tempered glass. This is a key enabler for efficient and reliable VIG production.鈥
By bringing together Glaston鈥檚 leading tempering technology and Leadus鈥檚 expertise in vacuum glass processing, the companies can push the development of VIG solutions forward and encourage adoption among glass processors.
鈥淎s different advanced glass concepts continue to evolve, glass processors are exploring how existing processes can be adapted to new applications. We believe in development through partnerships and our co-operation with Leadus is one concrete example of that,鈥 Kuusela adds.
The cooperation underlines Glaston鈥檚 continued commitment to staying at the forefront of glass processing technology and supporting emerging applications that drive efficiency and sustainability in the built environment.
