On Election Day morning, the National Association of Manufacturers released an open letter to the next president of the United States.

It reflects industry commitment to helping the next president (now President-Elect Donald Trump) address the country’s challenges and underscores the important role of manufacturing and the industries that support it.

Along with 606 other leaders across the manufacturing sector, Nicole Harris, NGA president and CEO, signed the letter on behalf of the NGA and as an advisory board member of the Council of Manufacturing Associations (CMA), to send a strong, united message from our industry. The CMA represents industry-specific trade associations within NAM, representing 130,000 companies worldwide, to ensure manufacturers have the strongest possible voice.

No matter who is our president, NAM, CMA and the NGA have the same message: we are committed to working together to strengthen trust and collaboration—within our sectors and across the nation, because a strong manufacturing economy is essential to our national security, economic resilience and continued prosperity.
