Almost 9 million Euro invested in the digital transformation and industry of the future in the acceleration programme created by CDP Venture Capital Sgr together with GELLIFY, Azimut Libera Impresa, Scm Group and other key operational organisations in the industrial and manufacturing world.

The new accelerator, known as Forward Factory, is dedicated to start ups that develop products and solutions in the digital manufacturing world. Scm Group's involvement in the project is confirmation of the importance that the Group has always attributed to innovation, whether it be developed within the company or in collaboration with research centres, universities, science parks and start-ups.

Scm Group's Innovation Director, Federico Ratti, who represents the Group on the Board of Directors of the new accelerator, points out that "by operating in highly competitive sectors that are continually evolving, it is essential to invest in innovation projects which provide added value in terms of digital transformation and Industry 4.0, like Forward Factory".

With a total budget of 8.64 million Euro, 3.57 million of which for subsequent follow-ons after the acceleration, the Forward Factory programme is spread across a period of 3 years, involving around 10 start-ups each year, that will have access to a 6-month programme aimed at consolidating their entry onto the market.

The programme is aimed at start-ups in the seed and early stages capable of offering digital services to innovate manufacturing production processes via blockchain, AR, VR, industrial IoT, AI and big data, cyber security, cloud computing and digital robotics.
