“WDMA is encouraged by the progress made between the trading relationships of the United States and China and delaying the increased tariff level for the third list of Chinese products is the right decision,” said WDMA President & CEO Michael O’Brien.

“Window, door and skylight manufacturers utilize certain products from China, including many that were set to increase March 1. Increasing tariffs on these products would only add to market uncertainty and price fluctuations for consumers. Leaders from both countries need to immediately find a permanent solution that ensures stability and a healthy trading relationship going forward.”
