Since the use of radar technology in 2021, HORN has been able to ensure high measuring accuracy through precise control of the glass level in conjunction with all common batch charging machines.

The resulting higher accuracy in glass level measurement is a very important control component in the glass melting process, as fluctuations in the glass level would affect the uniform operation of the furnace and significantly influence the gob weight.

As the HORN HRD-BEAM has no mechanically moving parts, all maintenance work is reduced to a minimum.
